About
Dawn Viar
I have been drawing floor plans since the age of six and love all aspects of art and architecture. It is important to me that interior design and architecture intersect for a holistic project that engages the end user. I believe good design is unexplainable happiness.
My path has led me in many directions, and I’m always open to the next thing. My first legit job was shoe sales at the age of 15 (do you remember the original Fred Meyer?!), and I have done everything from hotel front desk to bartending to Senior Technical Interior Designer at a global firm of a 35 story-5 star hotel. I have a strong work ethic while balancing time to play. Helping people make their vision and design come into fruition is my jam!
Outside of work, I’m hiking, drinking wine and trying to do more domestic travel while hitting as many National Parks as possible (20 and counting!). I’ve lived not only in Portland but also experienced San Diego, Houston and Seattle. Strong personal relationships are important to me — I love being the host and planning events whenever possible. I am also a third gen Portlander and proud dog parent of Loowie. boom.
Boring bio over — hit me up!
