Antioch University

Belltown, Seattle, WA | Gensler

Build-out of 30,000 sf, two and half floors. We were tasked to move the university into a smaller space working with key stake-holders and a change of President during DD with a different vision that led to a redesign. Change management was key to make this a success since were moving 60 people out of their individual offices. A core component to the design was more of a “welcome center” central reception layout to help save space. Our concept came from their seal with a tree having the first floor be the base/trunk then building up to the second floor in the branches/leaves and the third floor being at the top with the dappling of light.
