Childhaven was a pro-bono project with a team of a lead design principal and myself. Childhaven is a non-profit that addresses the epidemic of childhood trauma and adversity through relationship, partnership and innovation. We needed to provide a healing place for children on a very tight budget with mostly donated materials while keeping in mind that traumatized children are greatly affected by their interior environment. We wanted to make it as calm as possible while meeting the program needs.
